Responsibilities
The Data Scientist position is designed to utilize analytical, statistical, and programming skills to collect, analyze and interpret large data sets.
We are looking for a Data Scientist who will support our internal efforts with insights gained from analyzing company data, most of which is focused in the finance industry. The ideal candidate is adept at using large data sets to find opportunities for gained efficiencies in credit decisions.
We are looking for someone with a passion for discovering solutions hidden in large data sets and working with stakeholders to improve business outcomes. Must have a proven ability to drive business results with data-based insights and be comfortable working with stakeholders and functional teams. Must have the ability to work independently and take a project from ideation to execution.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Science or Data Analytics related field
- Advanced level expertise in Python (Pandas, Numpy, Scikit)
- Strong Proficiency in SQL, T-SQL with solid understanding of RDBMS
- 5+ years of experience manipulating data sets and building statistical models
- 5+ years of experience with statistical and machine learning techniques such as classification, regression, clustering, decision tree, deep learning, collaborative filtering and neural networks
- Proficient in understanding business processes, and business goals, be able to translate the business problems and goals into analytical problems
- Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau and PowerBIExperience working with Automated ML platform like DataRobot and open source machine learning platform
- Experience with AWS Infrastructure, Sagemaker highly desirable
