Responsibilities
Developing, designing, and ongoing maintenance use of business intelligence applications to facilitate and enhance data-driven business decision-making.
- Job is an individual contributor and has no direct reports
Work closely with end users to identify important business data analytics, determine where information is stored, and develop methods to retrieve and report on data using business intelligence applications
Define business intelligence project requirements by establishing project milestones, phases, and elements; form project team and establish project budget
Monitor project progress by tracking activity, resolving problems, publishing progress reports and recommending actions
Participate in new software or solution evaluations by providing technical and business need knowledge and integration input
Support the IT management team with vendor management in the area of business intelligence; support conflict resolution, identify new opportunities, review billing, etc.
Provide ongoing support to users by continuously improving and refining business intelligence operations based on end user feedback
Perform a variety of regularly scheduled month-, quarter-, and year-end business intelligence procedures and reporting generation
This role has the responsibility to understand and places in practice appropriate safety procedures. This responsibility is achieved through education, training, use of protective equipment (as applicable) and by following safety policies, regulations, standards, and laws
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- BA/BS or equivalent is preferred
Degree in computer science or related field or equivalent knowledge, skills, and analytical ability gained through working
Professional certification within the IT function preferred
